Announcements
The 57th Annual Red Acres Christmas Sing will be held on Sunday, December 23rd from 2-4 at 517 W. Washington St.~ This is a free and open event for the whole family and includes a creche with live animals, free hot chocolate and marshmallow for toasting.~ Santa will take time out of his busy schedule to visit.~~~
All town offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 25th and January 1st for the Christmas & New Years holidays.
The Whitman Hanson Education Fund will be hosting a Youth (under 25) Battle of the Bands on January 11, 2013. at the Whitman Hanson Regional High School from 8-11 PM. Winners will be determined based upon the judges' scores and the audience response to their performance. First prize is $150 plus studio recording time, second prize is $50 and a Sabian cymbal signed by Andy Zildjian and third prize is $50 in ITunes gift cards. Each band will play for up to 15 minutes and can play original music or covers. This event will be MC'd by WATD. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund programs in our Music Department and to send our first student delegation to China.
